Soon after the establishment of the Eparchy of Parassala, a minor seminary was started in June 2018 and started functioning in a provisional building near Ponneduthakuzhy, Kattakada. Rev. Dr. Thomas Kulangara served as the first Rector of the Minor Seminary. There were 14 students in the first batch.
On October 10, 2018 the foundation stone for the seminary building was laid at Parasuvackal by His Excellency Most Rev. Thomas Mar Eusebius. The construction of the seminary was completed in June, 2020. On June 27, 2020 the new seminary was blessed by His Beatitude Baselios Cardinal Cleemis and His Excellency Thomas Mar Eusebius. His Excelency Vincent Samuel of the Diocese of Neyyatinkara was also present on the occasion.
