His Excellency Dr. Thomas Mar Eusebius, Bishop of the Eparchy of Parassala, officially inaugurated the action plans of the Malankara Catholic Association (MCA), urging the laity to take an active role in uplifting the poor and marginalized through the Church’s mission.
The event took place at Evano Square Hall of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Kanjiramkulam, with Sabish Peter, the eparchial president of MCA, presiding over the function. A thought-provoking presentation on structuring the action plan at the unit, district, and eparchial levels was delivered by Rev. Fr. George Vettikkattil, Director of Welfare Services.
The program commenced with an introductory speech by Rev. Fr. Thomas Pottapurayidam, followed by the hoisting of the flag by Rev. Fr. Ani Zachariah. The pledge was led by Sr. Vineetha Paul, and the official inauguration was carried out by the Bishop.
Baiju S.R. Puthoor, the parish president, delivered the keynote address, while the release of the action plan booklet marked a key moment of the event. The occasion was graced with felicitations from Dr. F. Wilson, Member of the Kerala State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, along with Rev. Fr. Geevarghese George, Dharmaraj Pinkulam, Sherly Kudayal, Mohanan Kannaravila, Baiju Mekkonam, Aneesh S. Vadakara, Suman Lal, Shine L. Stephen, and John Shaiju.
