Parassala: In honor of the 28th commemoration of His Excellency Lawrence Mar Aprem, a revered shepherd of the Church, the Malankara Catholic Association (MCA) of Parassala Eparchy organized a deeply spiritual and devotion-filled observance, rooted in the rich traditions of the Church.
The solemn Holy Qurbono was celebrated at the late bishop’s own parish church, Velle Lumbu (Mar Aprem Nagar). The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Excellency Thomas Mar Eusebius, Bishop of the Parassala Eparchy, and His Excellency Vincent Mar Paulos, Bishop of the Marthandam Eparchy.
Following the Holy Qurbono, the MCA members embarked on a pilgrimage journey to the final resting place of Mar Aprem Thirumeni at the Marthandam Cathedral Church, with hearts filled with prayer and reverence.
Along the way, the pilgrims were warmly welcomed by various Malankara Catholic parishes situated along the route. Parishioners and clergy greeted the procession with heartfelt devotion, organizing liturgical receptions and spiritual hymns to honor the blessed memory of the late bishop.
The legacy of Mar Aprem Thirumeni, who served the Malankara Catholic Church with tireless dedication, continues to inspire and call the faithful, especially the younger generations, to a deeper spiritual commitment. This commemoration, organized under the leadership of the MCA, not only upheld the canonical dignity of the Church but also reaffirmed the profound significance of remembering the lives of holy shepherds in faith and prayer.
