The Malankara Catholic Eparchy of Parassala held its vibrant Rabbouni 2025 gathering for Sunday School teachers on Saturday, 14th June 2025, at VPS Malankara Higher Secondary School, Venganoor. The event began at 9:00 AM with registration at five counters, each representing one of the five ecclesiastical districts of the eparchy, ensuring smooth and efficient coordination.
At 9:30 AM, the formal proceedings opened with a heartfelt prayer hymn led by the Balaramapuram ecclesiastical district, followed by an inspiring Bible reading by Annie Augustine from the Kanjirakulam parish. A moving prayer by Executive Member Manivarnan set a reflective and prayerful tone for the day.
Fr. Varghese Naduthala, Eparchial Sunday School Director, presided over the inaugural assembly, welcoming all with warm words. From 10:00 AM onwards, teachers participated in enriching training sessions, tailored to various class levels. These sessions were led by respected priests, devoted religious sisters, and experienced educators of the eparchy, who shared their wisdom and teaching strategies.
The day’s concluding session at 2:30 PM was inaugurated by His Excellency Most Rev. Thomas Mar Eusebius, Bishop of Parassala. In his inspiring address, Bishop Eusebius urged the teachers: “You are the trusted hands that pass the light of faith to the next generation. Let this sacred task be carried out with love and great care.”
The valedictory session was chaired by Fr. Varghese Naduthala, with Vincent P, Sunday School Secretary, extending a heartfelt welcome. Special greetings and encouraging words were offered by Fr. Samuel Puthenpurackal (Balaramapuram ecclesiastical district director), Sr. Shalom Maria (Eparchial Animator), and others.
Over a thousand teachers, together with esteemed clergy and religious sisters, participated in this inspiring day of faith and fellowship. The program concluded with a sincere vote of thanks by Executive Member Shaji Malayil.
