Under the auspices of the Malankara Catholic Association (MCA), Parassala Eparchy Committee, a solemn and grace-filled gathering was convened, marking the joint inauguration of the Annual Action Plan, the Women’s Conference, and the Felicitation of the Three-tier Panchayat Achievers.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over and formally declared open by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Yausebios, Bishop of the Eparchy of Parassala. The occasion was dignified by the presence of distinguished clergy and laity, including Eparchial President Mr. Sabish Peter, Rev. Fr. Thomas Pottapurayidam, Rev. Fr. Ani Zachariah, and Rev. Fr. John Punnara.
Among the eminent speakers were social worker Mr. Joyikutty and several Panchayat Presidents, namely Ms. Nirmala, Mr. Anil Kumar, Ms. Agnes, Mr. Aneesh Vadakara, Mr. Dharmaraj Pinnankulam, Mr. Baiju Mekonam, Ms. Pravitha Parassala, Ms. Lekha Balaramapuram, Mr. Suman Lal, Mr. Bansi, Ms. Jayanthi, and Mr. Manu Pallivila, along with representatives of the three-tier Panchayat system. Their addresses highlighted the spirit of service, social commitment, and the vital role of Christian witness in public life.
The gathering witnessed the participation of 425 delegates drawn from various ecclesiastical districts, including Neyyattinkara, Kattakkada, Balaramapuram, Parassala, and Chempoor.
The event stood as a testament to the vibrant apostolic zeal of the faithful and their dedicated involvement in both ecclesial and societal spheres.
